Black Nike Hyperdunk Supreme Basketball Shoes

You didn't think Nike was just going to stop at the Hyperdunk this year did you? The Nike Hyperdunk was first released in 2008 and has quietly become one of the most popular shoes in Nike's basketball shoe line. Despite it's high quality, it has flown under the radar of the Kobe Bryant and LeBron James signature sneaker lines. It has been redesigned in various different ways over the last three years and has become one of the most successful performance-based basketball shoes on the market. Perhaps this year the Hyperdunk will get it's due. After all, this high performance shoe uses the same Nike design technologies that the Kobe and LeBron shoes do.

The new edition of the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk Supreme features a Black upper with Grey and Silver accents throughout. The design element that Nike used on the shoe to make it "Supreme" is a webbed TPU toe overlay. On this pair the toe overlay is done in Grey and enhances the aesthetic appeal of the shoe. The heel cage, midsole, inner lining, and solid rubber outsole are also done in Grey. A Silver Swoosh provides a perfect color balance that finishes off the shoe. So, why add the TPU webbed overlay to the toe box of an already stellar shoe? Simply put, it was added to create the ultimate in durability and support.

In addition to this new design element, the Hyperdunk continues to use the innovative Nike technologies of Flywire and LunarLite Foam. These two technologies used on one shoe provide one of the lightest and strongest basketball shoes on the market. Flywire technology utilizes high-strength threads that are contained within two separate layers of TPU and allows for the foot to mold naturally to it. The result is a comfortable yet stable fit. The optimal cushioning system in the shoe's sole is highlighted by LunarLite Foam, a technology that took four years to perfect. This Nike technology is extremely soft and allows for the impact of the foot to be spread out more evenly. The LunarLite unit is located in the forefoot of the midsole of the Hyperdunk.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2011 is the product of several years of work by Nike and it's top technological shoe designers. This brand new look for the shoe has also taken years of work before it could be implemented. The new TPU overlay that now occupies the toe box of the shoe elevates the Hyperdunk to another level in appearance and performance design. Nike shoes for basketball just continue to get better and better.
